Four hundred eighty-eight days remain to the
world's largest sporting event in the City of Light; excitement is already at
its peak. Preparations are going on very well as the world's best athletes from
32 different sports will participate, and millions of fans across the globe
will come and experience an unforgettable adventure from July 26, 2024, to
August 11, 2024 (handball, football and rugby will take place from July 24).
Paris will host the Olympics for the second
time, precisely 100 years after hosting the Games in 1900 and 1924. Moreover,
Paris will become the second city after London to host three Olympic
games.Seven hundred sixty-two sessions will occur at 35 venues for athletes
from 205 nations at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
Changes
According to many people, the Paris 2024Olympics will be the best because of the changes that will apply for the first
time. For example,
Paris 2024 will ensure that exactly 50% of
males and females participate. This objective is a part of gender equality,
applied in Tokyo 2020, where female participation was 48.8%.
Another objective Paris 2024 Olympics plans to
achieve is the growth of mixed-gender events from 22, four more than in Tokyo
2020. Also, the Summer Olympics will reduce the quota to precisely 10,500. 592
fewer than Tokyo.
We will also see the same emblem used for the
Olympic and Paralympic Games for the first time.
About the Olympics 2024
The opening ceremony will occur in an open
public area for the first time in Games history. Paris is planning to organise
one on the river Seine where performers and 10,500 athletes with their national
delegations will parade through the heart of the city.Spectators can see
athletes through 80 giant screens and strategic speakers. Around 600,000
spectators will attend the ceremony, ten times more than the capacity of the
Olympic stadium.
It's worth mentioning that there will be about
45,000 volunteers to help in the lead-up and during the games, according to the
Paris Olympics committee.Paris 2024 Olympic Games could generate around €10.7
billion and create approx—247,000 jobs before, during and after the Games.

Venues
Knowing venues is very important in the
Olympics, especially if you plan to go there and witness the Games live because
different areas of Paris will showcase other sports. For example, some venues
are in Paris City; some are outside the city; with sports like surfing, games
will take place 10,000 miles away from the Olympic city for the first time.
Regarding surfing, Tahiti, the largest island in French Polynesia, will host
the surfing competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
