For generations, the Summer Olympics has captured the imagination of sports fans around the world. This once in every four year event is undoubtedly the greatest multi-sport showcase on Earth.

Since the first modern Olympics was hosted by Greece in 1896, just two years after the foundation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), this major event has continued to expand and fascinate people. Nineteen countries across five continents have hosted the Summer Games, and it’s set to return to Europe in 2024.

The venue is Paris. As the host city for the 2024 Summer Games, Paris will be enjoying the honour of holding this remarkable sporting extravaganza for the third time.

Likewise, organisers in France are keen to put on a truly remarkable show. Organisers are planning a unique opening ceremony, scheduled for 26 July 2024, described as the most ‘spectacular and audacious plan’ in modern Olympic history. The route for the opening ceremony parade will stretch along 6km of the River Seine, with athletes travelling in boats. Upon reaching the famed Trocadéro, the final part of this ceremony will be held in a mini-stadium with 30,000 seats, featuring the iconic Eiffel Tower as the backdrop.

High Demand for Paris 2024 Olympic Games Tickets

The last Summer Olympics took place in Tokyo, but the circumstances were very different. Originally scheduled for 2020, the Tokyo Olympics was delayed and eventually took place in 2021. Even then, all of the sporting events were held behind closed doors, making it the first modern Games without any official spectators!

Although billions of people watched the broadcasts around the world, the atmosphere wasn't the same without fans participating at the sporting venues.

Thankfully, there will be no such restrictions or issues heading into Paris 2024, where there is already huge demand for access to all the events. All the key venues are expected to be filled to capacity, making early booking highly recommended to avoid disappointment. Here at Zenseats, we can offer you the best selection of ticket options and packages to watch all of your favourite sporting events live at the Paris Summer Olympics.

At the very core of what sets the Summer Olympics apart, the diversity and range of sporting events on display is truly exceptional. Popular Olympic Events

Leading up to the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, we will be regularly updating our site with available options, whether you are looking for individual or group tickets and even hospitality packages.

Athletics typically enjoys top billing at any Summer Games, and that will be no different in Paris. All the key track and field events will take place at the Stade de France between 1st-11th August 2024. Tickets are expected to be in high demand for all track and field sessions, where a capacity crowd of 75,000 will cheer on the world's best athletes competing in events ranging from the 100m, hurdles and 5000m to the high jump, shot put and pole vault.

In fact, this will be the first Olympics to feature an equal number of athletic medal events for men and women with a total of 48 disciplines taking place.

Scheduled to be held at multiple venues, the aquatics competitions are always popular. There will be 49 medal events available in total at Paris 2024, including 35 in the swimming discipline alone. Most of these are due to be held at La Défense Arena from 27th July to 9th August. This location will also host the water polo tournament, while artistic swimming will run from 5th to 10th August at the Paris Aquatics Centre. Marathon swimming will be in the River Seine.

Team sports also feature highly on the list of events fans are eager to see. And there will be many competitive tournaments at the 2024 Olympics. These include football and basketball, plus rugby sevens, handball, volleyball and field hockey. Individual pursuits are also followed with keen interest, ranging from golf and cycling to badminton and canoeing, plus the variety of combat sports including boxing, judo, taekwondo and wrestling. There will be no shortage of action at the Paris Summer Games.

Variety is what makes the Summer Games

Throughout the history of the Olympics, the Games have continually adapted and evolved to incorporate both traditional and modern sporting events. Classic sports include archery, fencing, sailing and shooting, as well as equestrian events featuring dressage, eventing, and jumping.

Always popular with enthusiastic crowds, gymnastics incorporates artistic, rhythmic and trampolining as the main disciplines on display. Table tennis also features prominently within the Olympic schedule, as does tennis which will be played at the legendary Roland-Garros stadium, home of the French Open.

But in recent decades, modern sports have also become increasingly prominent. BMX racing was introduced for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, while BMX freestyle was added in Tokyo 2020, with skateboarding and surfing events also debuting in Japan. They all remain present at the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, along with the addition of sport climbing and breaking (as in break dancing), both of which are new disciplines to feature in the Olympics.

Regardless of which sporting events and specific disciplines grab your attention, Zenseats will be focused on helping you enjoy the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, covering the widest range of ticketing options available.
