The Best Music Concerts of 2022

Posted 14 Mar 2022

The year 2022 has been a big opening for live music as there have been a lot of reunions and come backs especially after the shutdown from the pandemic. Some were postponed last year and some were inconclusive. However, these artists used the time away to be fully prepared. There’s a lot of live music planned this year.

Adele

After the release of her fourth album, the highly anticipated ‘30’, Adele announced her first ever Las Vegas residency, which was to take place at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum. However, just a day to its commencement, it was cancelled. She tearfully announced in an Instagram Live video just 24 hours before the residency began. Although she indicated Covid-19 and delivery delays as explanations, it seemed the show was simply not ready yet. Then she promised that the show was still going to hold this year.

She returned to the stage July 2, 2022, in London’s Hyde Park, for her first concert of 2022. Afterwards, she announced new dates for her postponed Las Vegas residency.

The singer, who cancelled the original dates at the start of the year, will now begin her Weekends with Adele concerts. Her residency dates have been confirmed to be from 18 November, 2022 to 25 March, 2023 and will be taking in 32 shows.

Harry Styles

Harry Styles announced rescheduled 2022 tour where he visited Wembley Stadium on Saturday 18 June and Sunday 19 June 2022, confirming his first ever stadium shows.

The multi-platinum recording artist announced the rescheduled dates for his world tour, in addition to new shows added across the globe. See the man in action, and get your Harry Styles tickets now.

The colossal 32-city outing kicked off with three brand new stadium dates in the U.K. in June, and further in four stadiums in Europe including a brand-new show at Wembley Stadium in June. The tour will run through July, 2023. He has added a fourth London show to his Love on Tour, 2023.

Michael Buble

This will be his first UK tour in four years. The tour was originally planned for Summer 2020 and 2021, but was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions. The ‘Higher Tour’ will kick off at The O2 Arena on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

The tour will mark 20 years after the release of his debut album. Some of his best hit songs will be performed while visiting Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle and Nottingham, before closing at Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena. Tickets to see Michael Buble are available now.

"I can’t wait to be back in arenas across the UK - it's going to be true arena spectacle! I'm so excited for people to experience it,” he said. He has also added two extra dates at Waddesdon Manor and Kelso Floors Castle.

Backstreet Boys

The DNA World Tour is the eleventh concert tour by American vocal group Backstreet Boys in support of their tenth studio album, DNA.

It was the 9th highest-grossing tour of the year 2019 with a total attendance of 999,242 from 95 shows. The tour was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but was resumed in 2022. The tour holds between November, 2022 and March, 2023. They added to their tour a stop on November 8, 2022 at Manchester’s AO Arena.

Blue

Blue, with original members Anthony Costa, Simon Webbe, Duncan James, and Lee Ryan have rescheduled their Heart and Soul 20th Anniversary tour of the UK and Ireland to December, 2022. Blue plan to play 14 arena shows in the UK and will be joined on tour by Atomic Kitten, who will be their special guest in all the dates. The tour marks 20 years after they released their Number 1 hit album, ‘All Rise’, which sold over 1.4 million copies in the UK alone. It also marks the first time in over a decade that the Atomic Kitten line of Jenny Frost, Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton will perform together. Some of Blue’s hit songs from all five albums should be expected, along with a few surprises.

Westlife

After releasing their new single ‘Starlight’, the first track of the highly anticipated new album ‘Wild Dreams’, they announced that they’ll be going on an extensive tour as their music continues. The tour follows after their record-breaking tour in 2019, in which the group played for over 600,000 fans across 27 countries. The tour kicks off this summer, to move across the UK, including an already sold-out headline show at Wembley Stadium in London.

This tour will make the pop icons to get closer to their audience than ever before as they will be performing their all-time hits like ‘World of Our Own’, ‘Swear It Again’ and ‘Flying Without Wings’. Songs from their new album ‘Wild Dreams’ will also not be left out.
