Ed Sheeran Tour Overview
Ed Sheeran’s ‘+ - = ÷ x Tour’ will take place from April 2022 and will see the artist performing in stadiums around the world. The Mathematics tour begins in the United Kingdom with 19 dates in the country, including five shows at Wembley Stadium in June and July. The tour will then continue onto the rest of Europe, followed by Australia and New Zealand early next year.
This is Sheeran’s first tour since his record breaking ‘Divide Tour’ throughout 2017 and 2019 which was the most attended and highest grossing tour by the time it had finished. Based on this previous performance, we expect an outstanding tour from the artist who will be singing a selection of songs from his new album live for the first time and also experimenting with a new production set up where he will be surrounded by the crowd for every show.
About Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran is a singer-songwriter from Yorkshire in England who began writing and performing songs at just eleven years old. His dedication from a young age paid off as in 2011 at 20 years old Sheeran was signed to Asylum Records and went on to release his debut album, +, a few months later to critical acclaim.
In 2012 Ed Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act off the back of the success of his first album and feature hit single, “The A Team”. In 2014, Sheeran released his second album, x, which topped global charts and won Album of the Year at the 2015 Brit Awards. Unsurprisingly his third album in 2017 also achieved phenomenal success, and became the best selling album of the year. In fact, all five of the artist’s albums have been well received and gone on to top both the UK and international charts.
Sheeran has broken numerous records throughout his career, including having the most top 10 UK singles from one album. He has also sold more than 150 million records around the world, making him one of the world’s best selling music artists and two of his albums are amongst the best selling albums in UK chart history.
