With the pandemic and lockdown firmly in the rear view mirror, 2022 saw gigs and tours return to the UK with a vengeance. And that’s a trend set to continue in 2023, as some of the world’s leading artists tour Britain to crowds of thousands.
If you know where to look, tickets to sold out events are still available, and here are five of the most exciting gigs of the next 12 months.
Justin Bieber - Resorts World Arena, Birmingham, February
He’s one of the world’s biggest stars, and in 2023 Justin Bieber’s Justice World Tour will be heading to England’s second city. Justin Bieber tickets are in high demand all over the country, and well over 20,000 of them have been sold for the Birmingham leg of his tour.
Expect to see all of Bieber’s biggest hits, and some of his latest singles, but remember that with Justin it’s not all about the music. He’s a showman, and he’s sure to put on one hell of a show.
YUNGBLUD - SSE Arena, London, February
British music fans know all about YUNGBLUD, and they’ve been clamouring to see him since he burst onto the scene back in 2018. Now, at the culmination of the UK leg of his world tour, the singer/songwriter will be wowing crowds at London’s SSE Arena.
Every venue on the tour has been sold out since the tour was announced, but you can still get your hands on YUNGBLUD tickets if you act quickly - and with the SSE being the biggest arena he’s playing in the UK, that’s your best bet to see him live.
Muse - Home Park, Plymouth, May
30 million albums sold worldwide, but Muse aren’t an albums band. They’re a touring band, who are one of the world’s must-see stadium bands. And as they return to their native Devon in May, you can expect one hell of a homecoming show.
Muse tickets will be hard to come by, because anyone who’s not seen them needs to see them at least once, and anyone who’s seen them once wants to go again and again. But if you can see them in Plymouth in May, you’ll finally discover what all of the fuss is about.
Elton John - London O2, April
He needs no introduction. Sir Elton Hercules John CBE (or Reg Dwight to his mum) is a true music icon. For over 50 years, he’s wowed crowds the world over. But it’s time for the legend to call it a day. The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will be Elton’s last, and it’ll be passing through the UK in March and April.
The London O2 will be packed to the rafters with those lucky enough to get hold of Elton John tickets, as will arenas from Antwerp to Zurich until the legendary songwriter finally calls it a day in Stockholm in July.
Harry Styles - Wembley Stadium, June
From one solo artist calling it a day to one who remains at the peak of his powers, the last must-see gig on our list is Harry Styles. As you’d expect, Harry Styles tickets are extremely rare, because he’s the kind of guy who can sell out multiple nights at Wembley Stadium.
But if you’ve not managed to get hold of yours yet, or gig tickets for any of the other sold-out shows on this list, make sure you keep an eye on ZenSeats. We’re always finding new tickets to truly must-see events.
